Meet Forrest Tuff

Alumni Spotlight

Meet Gordon Alumnus Forrest Tuff. In the early 1990s, Tuff received a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Gordon, and in 2012, he was inducted into our Basketball Hall of Fame. During his two years at Gordon, he led the state of Georgia in 3 pointers, averaging 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He then transferred to Western Carolina University to play Division I Basketball, but while only one level away from reaching his goal of playing professionally, he suffered a career-ending injury. However, Tuff did not let that defeat him.

After the injury, Tuff became a self-taught multimedia professional, film and TV producer, and author, discovering that the same attributes leading to his sports accomplishments could help him succeed as an entrepreneur. Recognized as one of Atlanta’s 500 Most Powerful Leaders, he is now the CEO of One Vision Productions, an award-winning multimedia production and branding agency in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a professional member of the National Speakers Association and recently received the designation of Accredited Speaker by Toastmasters International – becoming one of only 89 people in the world to receive this prestigious award. An active volunteer, he received the President’s Call to Service Award for completing 4,000 hours of community service. Currently, Tuff is putting together a new book and pursuing a Project Management Professional Certification.
