Major: Associate of Arts
Years at GSC: 2011-2014andrew henry

Why did you choose to attend Gordon?
Mr. Marlin Adams the art professor, at the time, allowed me to show him some pictures I drew. I then sat in on a few of his classes while I was earning money to pay for school. Mr. Adams was an amazing artist and I wanted to be like him. There were so many good teachers who were experts in their fields at GSC.

What was your favorite class?
Looking back I wouldn’t say that I had a favorite class, I enjoyed learning from all of my classes. I’ve used material from all my classes in life as well as the attitude of learning.

What is your favorite memory that you had at Gordon?
Playing in the ceramics room, I really enjoyed playing with clay.

Were there any clubs, organizations or sports you participated in while a student here?
I was in the Honors Program.

Tell me about your immediate family?
My dad is an electrical engineer, my mom is awesome, my oldest brother was in the Navy, next oldest brother is a carpenter, next brother down works for Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins.

Tell me a little bit about your business?
As an artist I do graphic design work, signs, murals, I’ll do family portraits of pictures that people bring to me. I can do custom logos and I can do magnetic signs and paint on basically anything.

Are the murals and paintings downtown your work?
A lot of that is mine, yes. Most of that work was done for the HBO show Sharp Objects, HBO was great to work with and a lot of that stuff was designed digitally.

How do you like to spend your free time when you’re not at work?
I always enjoy spending time at Deraney's downtown.
