Wi-Fi Connectivity Instructions

 

Full Campus Wi-Fi: Gordon-WiFi     

Wi-Fi Registration Portal:  nac.gordonstate.edu

 

Device Registrations:

 

Windows Laptop/Computer:

  1. Hover mouse over the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom-right section of the screen next to the sound icon.
  2. Right-click on the Wi-Fi icon and select Open Network and Internet Settings.
  3. On the resulting Windows Setting screen, select Wi-Fi from the left-side menu.
  4. Some machines will give the Random hardware addresses If so, turn Use random hardware addresses off.
  5. Select the Hardware Properties On the resulting page, copy/write the Physical address (MAC). In some instances, it will need the IP address as well. If so, use the IPv4 address entry.
  6. Return back to the Wi-Fi icon and join Gordon-WiFi.
  7. A browser window should open and present the registration screen.
  8. Select Register Device.
  9. Enter the Gordon UserID and Password.
  10. Select Register This Host if not already registered.
  11. Follow the registration instructions on the browser.
  12. If more devices need to be added, add them now.

 

Mac/MacBook Computer:

  1. Select the Wi-Fi symbol in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Select the Gordon-WiFi.
  3. Open a browser (Chrome preferred) if it did not automatically do so.
  4. If browser was manually opened, proceed to nac.gordonstate.edu for Gordon-WiFi.
  5. Select Device Registration from the registration options.
  6. Enter the Gordon UserID and Password.
  7. Select Register This Host if not already registered.
  8. Follow the registration instructions on the browser.
  • To find the MAC address on a MacBook:
    • Select Apple Menu
    • Click System Preferences
    • Click Network
    • Select Wi-Fi
    • Click Advanced
    • Select Hardware tab
    • MAC address should be displayed

 

Android Phone/Tablet:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and select the cog/gear/wheel to go into Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi.
  2. Select the cog next to the appropriate Wi-Fi connection. On the resulting screen select View more.
  3. Scroll down to MAC address type and select it. Select Phone MAC, not Randomized MAC.
  4. Note the MAC address listed.
  5. Register the device with a laptop if possible, otherwise, open a phone browser and proceed with the registration process.
  6. Select Device Registration from the registration options.
  7. Enter the Gordon UserID and Password.
  8. Select Register This Host if not already registered.
  9. Follow the registration instructions on the browser.

 

TV/Roku/PS5/Xbox/Amazon Echo/ETC:

  1. Locate the MAC address on the device (Google is helpful for locating the MAC address for the specific make and model you have. Every device is different).
  2. Open a browser on preferred device.
  3. Proceed to nac.gordonstate.edu for Gordon-Wi-Fi.
  4. Select Device Registration from the registration options.
  5. Enter the Gordon UserID and Password.
  6. Select Gaming Device if not already registered.
  7. Follow the registration instructions on the browser.
