DUO Mobile

Setting up DUO Mobile on your cellphone

Please watch the embedded video or follow the step by step instructions below to install and configure your DUO Mobile multi-factor authentication account.

 

Step by Step instructions:

** Please note starting this process on a computer instead of your mobile device will make the process easier as you will need to scan a code on your computer with your mobile device in order to complete the process. **

1) Open the App Store on your mobile device and search for DUO Mobile.  Confirm the app icon looks like this: Image of the Duo Mobile logo on a green background if you are seeing a different logo that is the wrong DUO Mobile app.

2) Once the app has been downloaded, open a web browser (preferable from a computer or laptop) and go to www.gordonstate.edu

3) Scroll to the bottom of the webpage and look for the Brightspace by D2L link and click the link.

4) Click the "Faculty, Staff, and Students Log In Here" button.

5) Type your Gordon State College email address on the displayed Sign In page.

6) Users that have not already setup their DUO Mobile account will see a Welcome to DUO Security page.

7) Get the Get Started button to add your device to DUO Mobile.  When the Add a device windows pops up Choose the "Duo Mobile" option.

8) Enter your phone number and click the continue button (Note: If you are a parent, students need to set this up on their cell phones as it is required to access numerous Gordon State systems.  Duo should not be installed on a parent's cell phone).

9) "Is this Correct?" - Click the "Yes, it's correct button (Unless, of course, you entered the wrong phone number)

10) If you have already downloaded Duo Mobile on your cellphone, click the "Next" button.

11) Scan the QR Code that is displayed on YOUR computer with your cellphone (the QR code in the image below is not functional).

12) The last step is to confirm this is your device.  Click the "Yes, this is my device" button.

Congrats! You now have DUO Mobile installed and configured on your mobile device.
