Gordon State College provides Microsoft 365 for students at no cost. This agreement between Gordon State College and Microsoft allows us to provide current students with the latest version of Microsoft Office for use on their personal device(s). You can install the latest version of Office on up to five computers or mobile devices that you use.

Students MUST log into their Microsoft account in order to be able to use any of the applications associated with the package.

Please note: Only current enrolled students will have access to Microsoft 365. Students will only have access to Microsoft 365 until they graduate or are no longer enrolled in the current term at Gordon State College. At that point, we must disable their Microsoft 365 license.

How can I get Microsoft 365:

  • You must be a current student at Gordon State College
  • Access is integrated to your @gordonstate.edu e-mail address.
  • Sign in to your Microsoft365 Portal with your Gordon State College username and password at the following link. NOTE: Your username must include the @gordonstate.edu domain suffix (i.e. jd123456@gordonstate.edu).

  • NOTE: DO NOT USE THE PASSWORD RESET FEATURE IN THE OFFICE365 PORTAL. IF YOU NEED TO RESET YOUR GORDON STATE PASSWORD PLEASE USE THE NETWORK PASSWORD RESET LINK UNDER THE MY GORDON PAGE OR THROUGH YOUR OUTLOOK WEB EMAIL.
  • Once logged in, click the "Install and more" button.
  • Choose the "Install Microsoft 365 apps" option.
  • Choose the "Install Office" button.
  • Run the "Officesetup.exe" file that gets downloaded.

 

How many machines/devices can I run this subscription on?

Each subscription license allows you to run Office on up to five machines - Mac or PC. You can also run Office Mobile for Android or Office Mobile for iPhone on up to 5 mobile devices.

 

Is this a full version Office and available for offline use?

Yes, this is full Office on the PC, Mac, iPhone, and Android platform and all are available for offline use. However, the software will check in automatically to make sure you are still an active Gordon State student. If you aren't able to log in for 30 days (for example, if you are not connected to the internet), the software will operate in read-only mode. You must connect to the internet periodically to maintain your access.

How long can a student leverage Microsoft 365?

Students can leverage this program until they are no longer enrolled in classes at Gordon State College. At that point, their Microsoft 365 account will be deactivated. You may enroll into other consumer or commercial offers available from Microsoft using a non Gordon State email address.

 

What happens when I graduate?

Your Microsoft 365 subscription ends upon graduation. You may enroll into other consumer or commercial offers available using a non Gordon State email address.
