Website Editing with Cascade

This page provides Cascade users with tutorials of how to edit the webpage. If you need access to edit the webpage, please have your supervisor request access using the ticketing system, helpstar@gordonstate.edu.

Accessing Cascade

Cascade users will log in here. They will need to use their Gordon username (do not include @gordonstate.edu) and their current Gordon email password.

Upon logging into Cascade, the users will see their dashboard area. They will need to make sure that they see the "My Content" widget. If not, they can select "Add Widget" and then select the "My Content" widget. From there, the users will need to choose their site (especially if they have access to edit more than one) and save the settings.

Editing an Existing Page

Cascade users will be able to add existing pages within sites in which they have access. It may be that groups of individuals can edit these pages. Cascade users can edit the text and upload PDFs without special permission. They can also link in images that are already in Cascade. If they would like to submit a new image to be added into Cascade, they will need to first upload the image and wait for approval before adding it to their page.

This link will provide a video of how to edit existing pages in Cascade.

Adding Documents to Existing Pages

Cascade users will be able to add documents to new and existing pages within sites in which they have access. These documents do not require approval but they must be in the form of a PDF. The user will need to convert the file into a PDF before attempting to upload it into Cascade.

The process for uploading a document into Cascade involves two steps:

  1. Upload the PDF into Cascade
  2. Link the PDF (now in Cascade) to the appropriate page

This link will provide a video of how to upload documents into Cascade and link them to certain webpages.

Adding Images to Existing Pages
