Academic Planning and Budget Committee

Purpose

The Academic Planning and Budget Committee shall be an active partner with Academic Affairs in setting academic program and fiscal priorities for the college and shaping the Academic Affairs budget.

Duties

The Academic Planning and Budget Committee shall be an active partner in shaping the Academic Affairs budget. Moreover, the committee shall be an active partner with Academic Affairs in setting academic program and fiscal priorities, and in seeking academic program savings where appropriate. The committee shall also review actions of the Strategic Planning and Budget Standing Committee of the College, and offer input on Academic Affairs throughout the annual budget cycle.

Composition

The committee shall be composed of:

  1. Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs
  2. Chair-Elect of the Faculty Senate
  3. Deans of Schools
  4. Three Faculty members from the School of Arts & Sciences (with at least three years at Gordon)
  5. Two Faculty members elected at large from the School of Nursing, Health, and Natural Sciences (with at least three years at Gordon)
  6. Faculty Member elected from the School of Education or the Library (with at least three years at Gordon and elected by a combined vote of both academic units)
