Support the Highlander Scholars Program

Invest in Georgia’s next generation of engineers.

The Highlander Scholars Program (HSP) at Gordon State College represents a life-changing opportunity for students with the talent and determination to pursue engineering—but who may lack the financial means to begin that journey.

Created through a 2022 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Gordon State College and Georgia Tech, the Highlander Scholars Program is designed to open doors for students within GSC’s service district to access one of the most prestigious engineering pathways in the state.

Through a fully funded scholarship, HSP covers tuition, housing, meals, textbooks, and fees for up to two academic years and a summer bridge experience. This support ensures that promising students—many of whom are the first in their families to attend college—can focus entirely on learning, leadership, and preparation for transfer to Georgia Tech’s engineering programs.

Your gift directly supports:

  • Students with financial need, ensuring that cost never prevents access to opportunity.

  • STEM education and workforce development in middle and south Georgia.

  • Access in engineering, a field that shapes the future of innovation and technology.

By contributing to the Highlander Scholars Program, you are investing in potential—helping bright, hardworking students from our region transform their dreams into meaningful, high-impact careers in engineering.

Together, we can remove barriers, inspire excellence, and build a stronger Georgia—one engineer at a time.
