Effective in Summer 2024, Gordon State College will begin using the ATI TEAS test for an admission requirement. The TEAS test, also known as the Test of Essential Academic Skills, is a standardized admissions test comprised of 170 total questions on topics such as Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English/Language usage. More information about this test and how to prepare can be found at https://www.atitesting.com/teas .
Upon receipt and verification of a completed nursing application packet, eligible students will be e-mailed specific instructions for registering and scheduling a date to take the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills). This will be sent to your Gordon State College email. There will be only one opportunity per application period to take this assessment, so personal arrangements must be made accordingly. Any applicant who does not complete this assessment will not be considered for acceptance into the Nursing Program.
There is no minimum score for the TEAS Test at this time. Students with the highest scores will have an increased opportunity for admission.
