Midterm Grades
Midterm grades for Term A courses have been posted in Banner Web. Students may drop Term A courses with a grade of ‘W’ (Withdrawal Passing) until 5 PM on Monday, June 16th . To drop or withdraw from courses, please submit a Student Withdrawal Form (Complete Withdrawal): Withdrawal Form or Schedule Change Form (Partial Withdrawal): Schedule Change Form to the Registrar’s Office (Lambdin Hall, Rm 126) or registrar@gordonstate.edu by the 5 PM deadline on June 16th.
A Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences provides students with a foundation in basic sciences, health-related sciences, as well as developing knowledge and skills in healthcare delivery systems, health promotion, health education, and research. Ethical, legal, and cultural issues related to healthcare will be overriding themes throughout the program of study.

The mission of the Health Sciences program is to provide high-quality professionals for employment in worksites such as fitness centers, hospitals, corporations, schools, government, non-government agencies and many other settings in Gordon State College’s primary fourteen-county delivery areas and throughout the state.

- Health Educators
- Health Promotors
- Fitness Trainers
- Physical Education Teachers
- Health and Wellness Program Coordinators
- Human Resource Wellness Specialists
This degree will also allow recipients to pursue a master's or graduate degree in health-related disciplines.
The program will be current with the growing area of public and community health and includes offerings in rural health, a Georgia government executive and legislative concern. Program delivery will include online courses when appropriate and traditional in-person classes on the institution’s main campus in Barnesville and the McDonough campus.
