Bachelor of Science in Nursing RN-BSN
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN Completion) is an articulation program which offers registered nurses the opportunity to obtain this degree through an RN-BSN Completion Program. The program emphasizes professional development, research, health promotion, community health, and leadership.
Beginning in the Fall 2021, the Gordon State College RN-BSN program will work with USG eCampus in a cooperative arrangement that will facilitate the utilization of resources by offering some of the required courses through eMajor. USG eCampus/ eMajor is a service unit of the University System of Georgia that assists SACSCOC-accedited USG instituitions in administering online degrees and credentials that address the workplace needs of Georgia.
The courses will be offered in an 8-week format to accommodate working professionals. Courses will be offered every semester, including spring, summer, and fall. The first three courses (Health Assessment, Nursing Research & Application, and Professional Nursing Practice) will be offered beginning Fall 2021. In Spring 2022 two additional courses, Leadership & Management and Community Health Nursing, will begin. In subsequent semesters, all five courses will be offered.
