Navigate360

What Is Navigate360?

Navigate360 is a student success platform used at Gordon State College to connect students, instructors, and staff in one centralized system. It brings together academic information, communication tools, and support services to help students stay on track toward graduation.

Through Navigate360, students can:

  • View their class schedules and academic information

  • Monitor grades and academic progress

  • Schedule appointments with faculty, advisors, and support staff

  • Receive alerts, messages, and referrals for academic or student support services

Faculty and staff use Navigate360 to share information, identify students who may need support, and coordinate timely outreach across campus.

How Students Access Navigate360

Students can access Navigate360 in two ways:

  • Smartphone app: Download the Navigate 360 app from your device’s app store

  • Computer (PC or laptop): Access Navigate360 through the Gordon State College website

Both versions allow students to view schedules, see grades, and schedule appointments. However, additional tools and features are available through the web (PC) version, which is why students may occasionally be directed to log in from a computer.

Early Alerts and Progress Reports (Always Alert)

Always Alert: At-Risk and Academic Alerts

Gordon State College’s early alert system within Navigate360 is called Always Alert. It allows faculty and staff to submit alerts and referrals when a student may benefit from additional support.

At-risk alerts can be submitted at any time during the semester on an ad-hoc basis, including:

  • Academic performance risk alerts

  • Tutoring alerts

  • Financial aid counseling alerts

  • Academic coaching alerts

These alerts notify appropriate offices so they can reach out to students, provide guidance, and connect them with available resources as early as possible.

Support Service Referrals (Non At-Risk Alerts)

In addition to academic risk alerts, Navigate360 allows faculty and staff to submit support service referrals that are not tied to academic risk. These referrals help connect students with campus resources, including:

  • Career Services

  • Library Services

  • Housing and Residence Life

These alerts ensure students are connected to the right offices for assistance, exploration, or engagement—even when they are not struggling academically.

Progress Reports at Gordon State College

Gordon State College sends institution-wide progress reports through Navigate360 during:

  • Week 5

  • Week 11

These reports are sent electronically to faculty. Students do not need to initiate or request them.

Faculty are asked to provide feedback on students who may be at risk of failing a course. During progress reports, faculty may:

  • Indicate academic concerns

  • Submit grades or performance indicators

  • Request tutoring or other support services for students

Students who are doing well in their courses may not receive any alerts or see new information during these reporting periods. Some faculty, however, choose to submit “good work” alerts or share grades as positive feedback.

Progress reports are conducted for all students in all courses at Gordon State College.

Attendance Tracking and Student Success Data

Gordon State College also uses Navigate360 to track attendance for all core curriculum courses.

  • Faculty are strongly encouraged to submit attendance weekly for online courses

    • This is typically based on student logins or participation

    • Some faculty use completion of weekly assignments to determine attendance

  • For in-person courses, most faculty record attendance each class session

Attendance data is sent to Navigate360 and combined with other academic performance information. This allows faculty and staff to see a more complete picture of student engagement and to identify students who may need outreach or support.

Supporting Student Success and Graduation

Navigate360 brings together academic performance, attendance, alerts, and student engagement data in one platform. By combining this information, Gordon State College can better support students, respond early to challenges, and promote academic success and on-time graduation.
