Our mission is to support students at any level and of any ability in their course work and in the development of personal skills that will help them achieve their academic and life goals. To that end, we offer virtual tutoring for writing, math, and science along with a series of academic success/personal skills workshops-all free of charge. We are located on the second floor of the Student Center Building, above the Gordon State College Bookstore. We can help!

Setting up GSC Tutoring Session:
Free online tutoring is available with our Gordon State College Student Success tutors. The tutors are other Gordon State College students who can help review concepts with you. Tutors will not work on work that will be submitted for a grade. The process for meeting live with a tutor is:
Step 1: Make an appointment at this link. Select the blue "Get Assistance" button on the right side.
Step 2: Under 'What type of appointment would you like to schedule?', Select 'Tutoring and Study Hall'
Step 3: Under ‘Service', Select "Tutoring"."Study Skills". or "Writing"
Step 4:Under 'Pick a Date' Select a date you would like tutoring or coaching services.
For Tutoring, select find available time and then select location and the course.
To set up GSC Advising Session:
Step 1: Make an appointment at this link. Select the blue "Get Assistance" button on the right side.
Step 2: Select meet with your success team
Step 2a: Select advisor's name
Step 3: Under 'Pick a Date' Select a date you would like advising.

We are certified through the College Reading & Learning Association International Tutor Training Program
WORKSHOPS! From improving your study skills to using GALILEO, these workshops are offered throughout the semester and are open to everyone.
Writing Resources We support students in all aspects of the writing process. Our primary goal is to provide a learning space in which all students in the College can receive one-on-one tutorial assistance from trained, qualified peer tutors.
Math Resources We can help students in all the math courses offered at the College. Experienced professional and peer tutors work with students one-on-one and in small groups, with the ultimate goal of empowering students to find their own solutions to problems.
Science Resources We tutor students in several science courses offered at the College. Experienced professional and peer tutors work with students one-on-one and in small groups, with the ultimate goal of empowering students to find their own solutions to problems.
Supplemental Instruction This is an academic program that targets historically difficult courses to provide assistance with regularly scheduled, out-of-class, study sessions.
