Gordon State College Club Sports are formed and designed by students. Overseen by the Office of Student Life & Recreation, club sports compete against other institutions and universities at both home and away. With a structural design to support individual interests of the student body, students are challenged to build leadership, communication, time management, organizational, and decision making skills within their club.
It is possible to start a new club or re-activate an inactive club. Contact the Coordinator of Recreation to help assist you and direct you to the person of contact for that specific club. Any student may form a new club if there are sufficient student interest and participation in the sport. There are several factors to take into consideration when forming a new club such as gaining interest, start-up costs, practice location, etc.
Success of club sport organizations depend on effective leadership, club member involvement, participation, and most of all, having fun!
