CAREER SERVICES EVENTS

Career Services at Gordon State College offers events throughout the year to help students build professional skills, explore career paths, and connect with employers.

Events may include career fairs, employer networking opportunities, workshops, and graduate school information sessions. These events are designed to help students prepare for internships, jobs, and future career opportunities.

Students are encouraged to attend events early in their college experience to begin building professional connections and learning about career possibilities.

Types of Career Events

Career Fairs
Career fairs provide an opportunity to meet employers, learn about internship and job openings, and make professional connections.

Workshops
Career Services hosts workshops that help students develop important career skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, networking, and job searching.

Employer Information Sessions
Employers may visit campus to share information about their organizations and discuss available opportunities.

Graduate School Events
Students interested in continuing their education can learn about graduate programs, application processes, and preparation strategies.

Preparing for Career Events

Students attending career events should:

Bring copies of their resume
Dress professionally
Research attending employers or organizations
Prepare questions to ask employers
Be ready to introduce themselves and discuss their interests
