Getting good advice is important to a student's academic success. Your advisor helps you stay on track in choosing the courses appropriate for your academic path, answers questions about academic policies, and aids you in overcoming the challenges of college.
New students should attend a New Student Orientation. Once students begin attending classes, they are assigned advisors. Students with Learning Support requirements must make completion of those requirements their first priority. They must register for all required learning support courses prior to registering for other courses. Students who do not complete Learning Support requirements prior to reaching 30 hours can take ONLY the required Learning Support courses until all Learning Support requirements are complete.
Continuing students must meet with their advisors each semester before they can register for classes.
