SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS COMMISSION ON COLLEGES

Gordon State College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate of arts and science degrees, associate of science in nursing, and to award baccalaureate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Biology, Mathematics, English, History, Human Services, Health Services and Informatics Administration and RN-BSN Nursing Completion Program. Gordon State College Nursing Program has had full approval by the Georgia Board of Nursing since 1972. The program has had full, continuing accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) since 1976. Gordon State College began offering a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Special Education in 2006. Certification programs for high school teachers are offered in Biology, Mathematics, English and History.
