IRB Certification Requirement: All board and committee members involved in reviewing human subjects research must hold current certification.

Human Subjects (HS) Review Procedures:

1. Required Training

US Dept of Health and Human Services - Human Research Protection Training.
a. Human Research Protection Foundation Training.
b. Participant-Centered Informed Consent Training.

3. Required GSC Forms

4. Documentation Submission

A certificate of training completion must be attached to the application and informed consent form at the time of submission.

 

5. Submission Timeline and Process

  • The committee meets once each month to review submissions.
  • Applicants must send the complete application packet to the Chair of the Committee.
 

6. Certification Renewal

Certification must be renewed annually.
