CLEP®

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP®) is the mostly widely accepted credit-by-examination program to earn college credit in 33 different areas: http://clep.collegeboard.org/exam, potentially saving you both time and money in reaching your educational goals.

If you are interested in taking a CLEP exam at Gordon State College, please call for an appointment: 678.359.5138. The test administration fee is $25 payable online to Gordon State prior to the day of testing (Online payment). Inquire about our fee waiver opportunities if you are a current Gordon State College student.

Before your appointment, you must create an account, select the exam and pay the separate CLEP examination fee ($93 beginning 7/1/23): http://clep.collegeboard.org/ and bring your registration ticket to your appointment. Registration tickets are valid for six months.

Be sure to discuss your testing plans with your academic advisor and verify what credits are accepted at your institution. At Gordon State College, credit cannot be awarded for a course in which you have already received a grade (WF, F, D) and you may only attempt the same exam two times.

Freshman Year for Free! Modern States Education Alliance continues to offer tuition-free online CLEP® courses. The courses, taught by professors from leading institutions, have no prerequisites or restrictions for enrolling and cover all CLEP exam subjects. The courses are free to all users and also include free textbooks and course materials and possible payment of your examination fee through a voucher. We encourage you to research this option before purchasing your CLEP exam.
