Applicants

1. Submit your application and pay your fee

2. Send official transcripts to Gordon State College

  • Freshmen - Send high school transcripts to Gordon State through GAFutures or to admissions@gordonstate.edu
  • Transfer students - Send official Transcripts from all colleges you have attended to admissions@gordonstate.edu
  • You can also mail unopened transcripts to

3. Send official copies of your test scores (Note: Freshmen and Dual Enrollment students applying for Summer and Fall 2021 do not need to send test scores)

5. Apply for Financial Aid
Even if you have not been accepted, we recommend you complete a FAFSA and add Gordon State's school code so we can start processing your award package. This will prevent any delays in getting you scheduled for the first day of classes.

1. Sign up for New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is required of all freshmen and transfer students at Gordon State College. Click below to register. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the resources available to you as a Gordon State student and meet with faculty in your area of study. During this event, you will also receive your official Gordon State student ID card, and register for your classes!

2. Complete FORGE, your pre-orientation introduction to being a Highlander!

3. Apply for Financial Aid
If you have not already applied. You need to apply early to receive your funding by the time classes begin.

4. Apply for Housing
Select from three housing options: apartments, suites, or traditional. Apply early to get your first choice of housing style. You have the best commute to class and make lifetime friends when you live on campus.

Accepted Dual Enrollment Students

1. Register for Dual Enrollment New Student Orientation
Dual Enrollment New Student Orientation is required of all dual enrollment students at Gordon State College. Click below to register. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the resources available to you as a Gordon State student and meet with your Advisor Mrs. Cynthia Jacobs.

2. Send your Advising form to Mrs. Jacobs 

Once your counselor and parents/guardians have signed the Dual Enrollment Advising form, send it to Mrs. Jacobs who will register you for your courses.
