Welcome to the School of Business and Professional Studies at Gordon State College. Whether you are beginning your academic journey or continuing your education, we’re glad you’re here. You are stepping into a dynamic community of innovative thinkers and ethical leaders.  We combine a rigorous education with hands-on, real-world experience. Faculty are composed of scholars and working professionals who are dedicated to student success.

 

The programs equip students with the business acumen and skills needed to excel in their chosen field, covering areas such as accounting, applied economic & analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, operations, supply chain management, information technology, cybersecurity, applied psychology, human services, addiction studies, sociology, criminal justice, and political science.   The curriculum emphasizes a dynamic learning experience through a combination of classroom learning, internships, and experiential projects, ensuring students are well-prepared for new challenges and opportunities in their careers.

 

The GSC experience not only provides students with the hard skills that they need to be successful in business, but we also teach our students the soft skills of collaboration, conflict resolution, problem-solving, empathy, emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, and service. Private companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies in Georgia and beyond recruit our students because they desire students who possess the knowledge as well as the character and integrity to sustain a successful career in business.
