CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
Gordon State College administers and awards credit for all 33 CLEP® examinations through their internet-Based Testing (iBT) platform.
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP®) is the mostly widely accepted credit-by-examination program to earn college credit in 33 different areas: http://clep.collegeboard.org/exam, potentially saving you both time and money in reaching your educational goals.
On August 9, the Modern States Education Alliance announced its official launch of tuition-free online CLEP® courses. The courses, taught by professors from leading institutions, have no prerequisites or restrictions for enrolling and cover all CLEP exam subjects. The courses are free to all users and also include free textbooks and course materials.
If you are interested in taking a CLEP exam at Gordon State College, please call for an appointment: 678.359.5138. The test administration fee is $25 (cash or money order) payable to Gordon on the day of the exam or Online payment using a credit card is available for this test.
Before your appointment, you must create an account, select the exam and pay the separate CLEP examination fee ($85): http://clep.collegeboard.org/ and bring your registration ticket to your appointment. Registration tickets are valid for six months.
Be sure to discuss your testing plans with your academic advisor and check for credits awarded at your institution. At Gordon State College, credit cannot be awarded for a course in which you have already received a grade (WF, F, D) and you may only attempt the same exam two times.
