Preparing caring, skilled educators

The School of Education is preparing preparing caring, skilled educators who are making a difference in the lives of their students in Georgia and across the nation.

Mentor teachers and administrators in nearby school districts play important roles as partners in preparing our students for life-changing careers. Through field experiences and teaching internships, Gordon teacher candidates develop confidence in their chosen career path.

With our cohort model for the Elementary/Special Education program, more then 95 percent of the candidates remain in the program. What's more, they achieve a better than 95 percent overall pass rate on the GACE content exams required for certification.
