LPN-RN Bridge Program
The Gordon State College LPN-RN program is a 3-semester program that begins in August of each year. The second semester is Spring, and the final semester is the following Fall. There is no Summer semester.
Applications are taken during December only of the year PRIOR to the August start date.
To be eligible for admission to the LPN-RN Bridge Program, a student must meet the general admission criteria as required for the regular 2-year ASN. In addition, a minimum of ONE YEAR of clinical practice as a licensed LPN is REQUIRED.
Once a student has been conditionally accepted to the LPN-RN bridge program, there is an LPN Validation Test*, dosage calculation tests, and a skills (lab) test that must be successfully completed before Final Acceptance will be granted.
