LPN-RN Bridge Program

The Gordon State College LPN-RN program is a 3 semester program that begins in January of each year. The second semester is Fall, and the final semester is the following Spring. There is no Summer semester.

Applications are taken during July only of the year PRIOR to the January start date.

To be eligible for admission to the LPN-RN Bridge Program, a student must meet the general admission criteria as required for the regular 2-year ASN. In addition, a minimum of ONE YEAR of clinical practice as a licensed LPN is REQUIRED for application.

Once a student has been conditionally accepted to the LPN-RN bridge program, there is an LPN STEP Test*, dosage calculation tests, and a skills test that must be successfully completed before Final Acceptance will be granted.
