Gordon State College Hosts Its Third Annual Legislative Roundtable Event
Gordon State College hosted its Third Annual Legislative Roundtable in a hybrid format on Tuesday, November 30. With a 25% increase in attendance from last year, Dr. Nooks discussed the five year Strategic Plan and the institution’s three legislative priorities: affordability, major repair and rehabilitation, and small capital projects. Throughout the years, the college has continued to foster a strong relationship and receive continuous support from its legislators.
The Legislators in attendance were the liaison for Georgia Senate member Marty Harbin, Andrew Abbott, and Georgia House of Representatives members Rhonda Burnough, Beth Camp, Robert Dickey, Derrick Jackson, David Knight, Regina Lewis-Ward, Kim Schofield, Karen Mathiak and Patty Bentley.
"We are grateful for the continued support of our legislators. They work tirelessly to spread the Gordon State story within the 14 county Primary Service region and under the Gold Dome. They are key partners in the development of a region that promotes economic development and sustainable communities," said President Kirk A. Nooks.
