You don't have to travel far to see the world as this week is International Education Week at Gordon State College. From speakers to presentations, dance parties and the signature "Adopt a Country,” students can learn all about countries and cultures on various continents without leaving campus. International Education Week

President Kirk Nooks said, “It is hard to believe that just a year ago we planned our very first international week. Here we are one year later with more programs, covering more countries and engaging more students. This week gives Highlander Nation an opportunity to learn and explore the world without leaving our campus.”

To experience tastes from around the world the GSC International Extravaganza will provide the chance to sample food, view country displays and then vote for your favorites. International Extravaganza is at the Student Activity Recreational Center (SARC) on Thursday, November 7, between noon and 1:00 p.m. The winning display will enjoy a pizza party, courtesy of President Nooks.

The fun doesn't stop there, enter to win a free gift card to the GSC Bookstore for visiting the most Countries around campus. The only guideline is getting the most stamps on your GSC passport to enter the contest. For more information on how to win and where to pick up the passport visit our website.
