Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program Fully Accredited

The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) has fully accredited the Gordon State College Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

According to ACEN, accreditation indicates to the general public and to the educational community that a nursing program has clear and appropriate educational objectives and is working to achieve these objectives. Emphasis is placed upon the total nursing program and its compliance with established standards and criteria in the context of its mission/philosophy as well as current and future nursing practice.

“Gordon State College is well known for the quality of the nurses that graduate from our programs,” said Anne Purvis, Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. “Being accredited by ACEN shows our dedication to the program and to our students.”
