The internationally known singer/songwriter Richard Shindell will perform at Gordon State College Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Shindell's most recent release is a collaboration with fellow songwriter Lucy Kaplansky, The Pine Hill Project: Tomorrow You're Going. A collection of
interpretations of other artists' songs, PopMatters has called the album "a joy from start to finish."
Shindell has released nine albums as a solo artist over the course of 25 years, most recently 2011s 13 Songs You May or
May Not Have Heard Before, a career retrospective of his songs that he re-recorded in acoustic arrangements.
A master of spare, moving narratives in song, his work has been covered by an array of well-known artists, including Joan Baez.
The concert is at 7:30 p.m. on the stage of the Gordon State College Fine Arts Theater. This performance is free and open to the public.
