UPDATE-Fugitive Seen in Vicinity of Campus
AN ARREST WAS MADE LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
The Lamar County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a man who is wanted out of Cherokee County and was last seen in Lamar County on Ga. Highway 36, west of Barnesville.

Lee Owens, 6'2 about 220 pounds, with tattoos on his right hand, is accused of attempting to steal a truck and was involved in a vehicle pursuit this morning.
Gordon State College Police Chief Jeff Mason says the campus police are on heightened alert and asks that anyone who sees anything out of the ordinary or anyone acting in a suspicious manner to call 678-359-5111 or to utilize any of the blue call boxes across campus.
Owens is considered armed and dangerous.
