GSC Hightower Library Offers Community Borrower’s Program
The Dorothy W. Hightower Collaborative Learning Center and Library on the campus of Gordon State College is inviting community members to take advantage of the Library’s Community Borrower’s Program.
By signing up for a Community Borrower Card, area residents have full access to all resources offered through the Library.
“Along with the community, we are partnering with the Barnesville-Lamar County Public Library as well as St. George’s Episcopal School to meet the needs of its students,” said Sonya Gaither, Library Director. “We’re hoping to expand to other schools in the surrounding counties soon.”
In order to obtain a community borrower’s card applicants must present a photo ID, be 18 years of age or older and live in Butts, Lamar, Monroe, Pike, Spalding or Upson counties.
With a card users will be able to check out up to five books for a period of 28 days, can use computers and printers (for a per- page fee) and have access to scanners, microfilm readers and the book self-checkout machine.
The card must be renewed annually.
