Welcome from Advancement

Welcome to the website for the Office of Institutional Advancement at Gordon State College.  The staff of this department supports GSC's vision and mission by building relationships among students, staff, faculty, alumni, friends, trustees, government officials and the wider community.  We secure resources for the College to further academic excellence, spread the good news of Gordon State College, welcome alumni back to campus and coordinate events and functions for the campus faculty and staff as well as visitors.

The Office of Institutional Advancement works closely with the Gordon State College Foundation and oversees the annual award process for Foundation Scholarships. Further information about Foundation Scholarships is available on the Financial Aid webpage.

Our Office of Development seeks to help students meet their goals and dreams for their futures by securing scholarship support. This office also helps donors identify and fund programs and projects to accomplish our goal of advancing Gordon State College to better serve the people of Georgia.

Our Office of Public Information communicates the good news of Gordon State College by providing internal and external communications. This is accomplished through a program of print, audio, video, and electronic media.

Our Office of Community Education welcomes visitors to campus for non-credit community education courses and coordinates all events on campus. Internal and external groups rely on community education to make sure their events are free of scheduling conflicts and all needs are met.

Our Office of Alumni Affairs welcomes alumni back to campus each April for our annual Alumni Weekend. Class reunions and other alumni functions are planned through this office.
